On Sunday 19th March 2017, Wandin North Primary School will host the 17th Annual Harvest Market.
If you would like to participate at next year's market, contact Megan Gibbons for all stall enquiries or Wandin North Primary School for all other enquiries.
The Harvest Market is a major fundraiser for the school. Over the past 16 years, the school community has raised in excess of $160,000. In this time we have been fortunate to be able to purchase air conditioners, gas heaters, library books, playground equipment, interactive whiteboards, and laptop computers in every classroom.
In 2010, a Netbook was purchased for every student in grade four, five and six. In 2011, we upgraded the wireless system to better suit the Netbooks. And in 2012 we purchased an extra bank of laptops so that every child in the school has access to the latest technology. We will continue to fund this technology program with the money raised from the Market this year along with upgrading our playground.
The market attracts visitors from the local community and from afar. It will be packed with vibrant stalls selling everything from fresh produce and homemade cakes to arts and crafts, collectables, toys, jewellery, cosmetics, and plants. As well as the wide and diverse range of goods on display and for sale, the Harvest Market offers a selection of games, activities and crafts for families with young children to enjoy for free.
Visitors have a chance to sit down for lunch with friends in the shade of market umbrellas and enjoy the free entertainment at the main stage.
Even the fussiest of palettes are tempted by the aroma of hot foods, a cappuccino or an icy cold drink.
The market starts at 9.00am and finishes at 2.00pm when the main raffle is drawn.
Admission is free and car parking is available.
